Game Description:
“Like a King” is a strategic card game where players take on the roles of medieval monarchs, vying for power and dominance in a kingdom. With a unique blend of luck, strategy, and social interaction, this game is perfect for fans of card games, history, and diplomacy.
How to Play:
- Each player starts with a hand of five cards, representing their kingdom’s resources, allies, and threats.
- On each turn, players draw a card and then play one card from their hand to take one of three actions:
- Govern: Use a card to gain a bonus, such as adding a new resource or gaining an advantage in a diplomatic negotiation.
- Diplomate: Trade cards with another player to strengthen your kingdom or hinder your opponents.
- Conquer: Use a card to attack another player’s kingdom, stealing resources or even declaring war.
- Players can also use special cards to manipulate the game state, such as swapping hands with another player or forcing everyone to discard a card.
- The game ends when one player’s kingdom is depleted of all resources, or when a player’s influence score reaches a set threshold (e.g., 10 points).
- The player with the highest influence score at the end of the game is declared the winner, having successfully built a powerful and prosperous kingdom “like a king.”
